Vega Village History

In Medieval times, the bay situated between Cape Emine and Nessebar had two large fresh water wells; residents earned a living by selling drinking water to Nessebar, which had none of it's own. This area is now known as Sunny Beach, which was the first development starting in1958 and is now the largest of Bulgaria's beach resorts. Today the wide six kilometre long beach is generally regarded as the best on the coast.

Vega resort is situated on an area covering 12,000 square meter, and having a direct approach to the sea (1st line) with local shops and estaurants nearby.

Vega is approximatley 30 minutes from Bourgas airport and around 90 minutes from Varnna - all local amenities are within walking distance, and it is not necessary to hire a car. Taxis are readily available at the airport and around the complex. Typical transfer from the airport will cost £15 (day) and £22 (night). A taxi to Sunny Beach will cost around £3 to £4. The Vega complex boasts two magnificent swimming pools, a restaurant, and gymnasium plus most spectacular views of historic Nessebar and the popular resort of Sunny Beach. Vega Village guests have access to numerous bars and restaurants, and amphitheatre and evening entertainment around the resort as it is part of the Dinevi resort.
